What devices can I use?

Camerito is designed for use on smartphones, tablets, and computers. Here's the compatibility guide:

 

Supported Platforms

  • Smartphones & Tablets: Available for iOS / iPadOS and Android. Check the app’s page on the App Store or Google Play Store for specific version compatibility.
  • Computers (Laptop/Desktop): Accessible through a web app, supporting all modern web browsers like Chrome, MS Edge, Safari, and Opera.
    • For optimal performance, we recommend using the latest version of Google Chrome.
    • ⚠️ Note: Mozilla Firefox can be used as a Viewer Station but not as a Camera Station due to video encoding compatibility.

 

Requirements

  • Camera Stations: Devices intended to be used as a Camera Station need at least one functioning camera and microphone.
  • Internet: A stable internet connection is required for all devices.

 

💡 Other Important Info

  • External Cameras: External hardware cameras and IP cameras are not supported. External webcams attached to computers can be used.
  • Cross-platform: You can use any combination of the supported devices mentioned above.
  • Roles: Camerito works with two device roles: 🎥 Camera Station (stays in the room, records footage) and 📱 Viewer Station (stays with you and connects remotely to Cameras, reviews Events,...). The supported devices can function as either Camera Station or Viewer Station, but not simultaneously.
